Together, we create a life worth remembering.
This is a reader-supported publication and my attempt to build a better world and to help people create a better life for themselves. This work exists because amazing people decided to become paid subscribers to keep this place thriving. Every bit of support helps me keep writing and doing more research. The cost of staying the same is far greater than the cost of investing in yourself.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
You don’t need to completely reinvent your life today.
Sometimes, making a few small changes is enough to make your days easier, healthier, and more enjoyable.
1. Put your phone somewhere you can’t reach it.
-Don’t keep it beside your bed.
-Put it across the room or in another room.
-Avoid checking it during the first 30 minutes of your day.
You’ll start the day with your own thoughts instead of everyone else’s.
2. Go outside every day.
*Take a 15–30 minute walk.
*Leave your headphones at home occasionally.
*Get some sunlight and fresh air.
Think of it as a reset button for your brain.
3. Make tomorrow easier tonight.
Before going to bed:
-Choose your clothes.
-Write down your top 3 priorities.
-Clean your workspace.
-Prepare anything you’ll need in the morning.
You’ll wake up with fewer decisions to make.
4. Remove one annoying thing from your environment.
Ask yourself:
“What small thing annoys me almost every day?”
-Then fix it.
-Replace the uncomfortable chair.
-Organize the messy drawer.
-Move something you constantly trip over.
-Automate a repetitive task.
Small annoyances add up.
5. Have one phone-free hour every day.
Use that hour for:
Walking
Reading
Cooking
Exercise
Talking to someone
Thinking
Doing absolutely nothing
6. Spend money on convenience where it actually matters.
You don’t have to become extremely frugal.
Instead:
Identify tasks you genuinely hate.
-Find inexpensive ways to make them easier.
-Buy things you use constantly if they significantly improve your day.
-Don’t confuse “cheap” with “good value.”
-The goal isn’t to spend more. It’s to reduce unnecessary friction.
7. Talk to someone you care about.
Don’t wait for a special occasion.
*Send the message.
*Make the call.
*Ask how they’re doing.
*Invite them for coffee.
*Tell someone you appreciate them.
Good relationships are one of the easiest ways to make life better.
8. Replace one bad habit with a better one.
Don’t try to eliminate everything at once.
Instead:
Scrolling → 10-minute walk
Junk food → one healthier meal
Late-night phone use → reading
Complaining → write down one solution
Procrastination → work for just 10 minutes
Make the better choice easier, not the bad choice impossible.
9. Create something every week.
It doesn’t need to be impressive.
You could:
Write something.
Cook something new.
Build something.
Take photographs.
Make a video.
Learn a song.
Start a small project.
Consuming is easy. Creating makes life more meaningful.
10. Ask yourself one question every Sunday.
“What would make next week 10% better?”
Pick one thing. Not ten.
Maybe:
Sleep earlier.
Exercise twice.
Call your parents.
Apply for three jobs.
Clean your room.
Spend less money.
Finish something you’ve been avoiding.
Then actually do it.
The bigger idea:
You don’t need a perfect life.
You need a life where your environment works for you.
Your health is reasonably cared for.
Your relationships are strong.
Your money situation is improving.
Your time belongs mostly to you.
You have things to look forward to.
Small improvements compound.
You don’t have to change your entire life this week.
Just make one part of it 10% better.

Small changes really can add up over time. Making tomorrow easier the night before is one I try to do whenever I can.
